spreading smiles

Sharing Support

Supporting our community from providing joy and support to children and their families during their hospital stays to sponsoring children’s sports dreams

Because One Small Act Can Spark a Lifetime of Hope

Help us bring comfort, laughter, and love to the incredible kids, families, and caregivers at Corewell Health West and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.

When Anthony spent time in the hospital, the simple gift of a cozy blanket or a fun toy made all the difference — it brought smiles during hard moments and reminded us we weren’t alone. Now, through Anthony’s Way, we get to pay that kindness forward.

You can help by donating new toys, books, and supplies that will brighten a child’s day or lift the spirits of a parent or nurse.

Empowering Young Dreams Through Anthony’s Light

At Anthony’s Way, we believe in making sure that no child has to miss out on the extracurricular activities they love. Whether it’s soccer, baseball, football, dance, or any passion in between, our charity provides funding to help youth in our community shine.

Every contribution is a way of turning what might have been Anthony’s unfulfilled dreams into opportunities for other kids. Through Anthony’s legacy, we’re lighting the way for young athletes and artists to pursue their passions.

A Friendship that lasts eternity

“When I think of my best friend Anthony, the first things that come to mind are his laughter, his kindness, and the way he always made everyone feel special and included. He had strong values and morals for someone our age, and being around him made me want to be a better person. We used to talk about everything — sports, religion, even politics. We argued all the time about whose team was better, but those debates only brought us closer.

Losing him so suddenly was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. It’s still hard to understand why someone so young, with his whole life ahead of him, could be taken so soon. But even though Anthony is no longer here physically, his life continues to impact so many. His memory inspires me every day. He’s taught me to live with more gratitude, to value the people I love, and to honor his spirit in everything I do.

I keep Anthony close by wearing his soccer number, #2, and writing his name and favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, on my cleats. That way, he’s always with me, especially on the field where we shared so many memories.

Even in death, Anthony gave the ultimate gift through organ donation. His legacy of love, compassion, and generosity lives on, not just in our hearts, but in the lives he helped save.”
